8:00 AM- shower - 2 shower stalls, one being repaired so that leaves one stall...and it is tiny, you can't turn around hardly...then the plug in for the dryer is above the air conditioner, had to go back to the boat to finish....
9:10 Ken back from shower....
Went to the office to check in...it was closed when we got in last night...
Called a taxi to go into town...tried walking last time here...about a 6 mile walk one way...no benches to sit on and rest...no way 'jose'...
Went to Lion King or Food Lion or whatever it is....worst thing I paid for was 1/2 gal of milk $3.....that one got me....no best buys...expensive trip, between groceries and taxi fare....
2:30 took metal detector out to the man made beach that is mostly washed away from Irene and Lee and found a quarter....
4:30 back to the boat...we could hear the naval ships firing guns in the distance...they practice during the week ....scary sound....like watching "Gone with the Wind" when those yankees were taking over Atlanta....poor Scarlet....
Made spaghetti and meatballs for super with salad...very good....left overs for tomorrow.....
Kinda boring when there is nothing going on in the marina and too far to get to town and no history, well a little history...something about bodies in the water out there at the marina...years ago....I may have to investigate that story....
To bed early after reading for a while...could not get on the internet....
